Nevada Real Estate Continuing Education

For Nevada real estate licensees who are renewing their original license for the first time, the Nevada Real Estate Division requires all first time renewals to take live-lecture courses. These courses are not available for online delivery. Visit the Nevada RED website for more information.

After the original license renewal, a real estate license in Nevada will be valid for 2 years. Licensees are required to take 24 hours of CE every 2 years, and at least 50% of the 2-year CE must be from live classroom instructed courses. Licensees will use the RED Online Services website to submit proof of CE completion.

Salespersons real estate licensees renewing for the second time onwards must take 12 hours of CE in Mandatory (core) courses (3 hours in Agency, 3 hours in Contracts, 3 hours in Ethics, and 3 hours in Law & Legislation) and 12 hours in Elective courses. Broker licensees and Broker-Salesperson licensees renewing for the second time onward must take 15 hours of CE in Mandatory (core) courses (3 hours in Agency, 3 hours in Contracts, 3 hours in Ethics, 3 hours in Law & Legislation, and 3 hours in Broker Management) and 9 hours in Elective courses.

Licensees CAN take the same course for each license renewal periods as of April 2016. Previously, licensees were prohibited from repeating courses from the prior renewal period. See Adopted Regulation R097-14 for more information.
